Default 710N DV

Has anyone used a 710N Diverter valve on a stock non chipped K03 B5? Is this a bad idea? I ordered it with intentions to get GIAC later. All I want to know is if this will hurt the turbo or anything else. Thanks.

I dont know how it would or would not hurt the car which is why I asked! Why is there no point? I have heard that the stock dv for k03 becomes very weak or reduced performance around 60-70k miles. Plus a dude at a euro shop told be it would make a difference without a chip. Im cornfused.

You won't notice a difference over stock, unless your old DV is indeed bad. It's cheap though, so why not. No, there is no negative consequence to using the 710N.

i put a 710n in my car w/o the benefit of a chip too, and have wondered if it wasn't such a great idea. i did it b/c i had the whole front end apart and it was easiest to do while in the "service" position. once i finish up some other work i'm going to chip it, at which time i'll get the benefit of higher boost allowed by the 710n (i think that's how it works).

yep youre correct. the 710n will be able to handle the increased boost being pushed through it.
