If you tap the wires going into the light switch, you get the gauge to only light up when the lights are on. Thats how the AWE vent gauge is done. Take a look at their installtion guide for exactly which wire to tap, works great.

I tapped the lines leading to my illuminated vent dials... that way I can also control the dimming of the gauge with the little **** that sets the dim of the dash lighting... Of course, pre 99.5 models don't have the illuminated vent dials

yeah - I did it because I wanted the vent gauge to have the same dim level as my dash gauges... didn't want it to stick out too much... gives it a very oem feel

Again, is there any mount that anyone has found for the steering wheel/console area that doesnt block the cp screen? For the B7.

this one doesn't blow your screen- it says 02+A4 and 04+S4 not sure if that mean b6 and b7 or just b6 - you'll have to ask

Maybe I'm too picky. That one was a little better akeilb, but it just doesnt look right to me. What about a normal ricer mount on the--what the hell is it called--door frame/ windshield beam thingy....gaaaa, brain fart!
