Default 80,000km Tune-up

Ok, well i jsut hit the 80,000km mark and wanted to know what
things should be replaced. So far i am doing the following:
Oil change
Transmission and Diff Fluid Change
Fuel Filter Change
Anti Freeze
Did plugs 4000km ago

So becides this are there other items that should be replaced like power steering fluid or anything like that ?

One other thing is my car is now 6 almost 7 years old. Should hte belt be changed now or can i wait another 10,000km or so ?

Thanks a lot.

Anthony

air filter, and if u want do the cabin fitler too. and by the belt, do u mean timing belt or accesory belt? timing belt should be changed every 60,000 miles. accesory belt should be fine unless u see black dust in the area or cracks on the belt.

You could probably wait another 5-10k miles for the belt/tensioner, but why wait when its the part that makes or breaks your engine? Get it done before the weather turns too cold to make you want to put it off.

car always seems to run ok until one day it doesn't run ok lol. prevention is key to saving money.

80k km = 50k mi.

You can wait on your timing belt. I would probably wait until you hit 80k miles = 128k km. You should be fine just changing fluids for now.

Why wouldnt you change your tranny fluid? Are you oneof those people who believes in the "life of the car" theory? Remember there are no magical fluids that retain their lube properties forever. I know 10 VW/Audi techs who will tell you the same thing.

I'll wait until there is some indication in the way the TIP shifts.
The fuel filter is also lifetime.
