Default 96' Tailights swap...

I just wanted to know if anyone has done the tail light swap from the 96' to the 99'-01' version described in the technical articles in our forums. It says you have to get a bulb holder. Can that be obtained from the dealer? Expensive? If this has been done, is it difficult or has there been any problems? Thanks in advance for any help...

I apologize for having somemanydiff. topics about these tails. I just got my car back and have a lot on my list.

Lowers
Headlights
Tail Lights
Grille
Side-markets
Basic Bolt-ons
Rims (in time)

Bear with me fellas

Cheaper to buy used ones from some place like http://car-part.com

There is even a tutorial on the tech section of Audiworld.

most of the time when you buy the taillights used the bulb holders will be included...i got mine from jest last year, they're not hard to install at all...it took me a minute to figure out how to get the connector taken apart for the rewiring, but other than that it's incredibly easy to do. i've had them installed for over a year now with no problems

Thanks for the help fellas. I went on car-part.com (you da man Jestnomen!!!) and found a pair for 135. I actually picked them up and installed them the same day. Very easy. They look great.

I love these forums.
