Default 97 prewired for Motorola handsfree?

I've come across a couple of references to the 1997 A4 being pre-wired for some sort of Motorola handsfree set up. Unfortunately, that's about all I've been able to find out about it. Does anyone have any additional information about this?

Thanks,
--Chris

check out audi world tech articles. If the 97 is like the 98+ there is a little phone connector below the arm rest, which is pre-wired to allow the hook up of a hands free. In the drunk under the flap where the cd changer plugs are, there is a db25 connector (think printer cable connector before the world went usb). You need to hook up a male (i think? it's either male or female) to the other end with a series of jumpers based on what your phone requires. Again, check out the audi world articles for more info.

bluetooth it eliminates all the wiring problems, my car has a bluetooth audio system which picks up devices programmed into the system ( no wires ) pretty awesome I think

Probably somewhere else, as the 97 doesn't actually have a center arm rest... Drat.

you may still have the little connector port. it's hidden in the cener concole. i fyou have a little square thing w/ a slant and then a little square cover to it, that's what you're looking for...

Cool. I'll rummage around for that.
