I'm trying to look for a good 99.5 to buy and I've found a couple. however I found one that I really like but something worries me, the carfax report states that the car is indeed a 1999, but it's confusing since the first entry is that it was produced and impored on 12/10/1999. Is it possible that this is acutaly a mistake and it's a 2000 model?


the car is 470 miles away, so attempting to view the code on the block is difficult at best.


was there a specific time they stoped manufacturing the 99.5s and began 00 production?


or am I reading this wrong and the first entry is just when it was imported and not manufactured.

 

From my understanding about carfax, dont forget its people that enter these things in manually so there is alot of information that is backed up on carfax that you would never know so maybe that car got entered really late.

 

it wont say its a 99.5, there isnt a huge bodystyle change
the only thing that distiguishes that is a 99.5 are the cosmetic facelift upgrades
