Default 99 A4 2.8 - Turn Signals and Hazards Inop

Hi,

I have a '99 A4 2.8 that has inoperative turn signals and hazard lights. I had thought it might be a bad switch contact in the steering column assembly but as both the hazards and the turn signals don't work that seems unlikely to me. I'm assuming it may be a bad relay rather than the switch.

Has anyone had this problem?

My apologies if this topic has been covered to death already, I'm new to the forum andjust starting to look around.

Thanks!

Just found a thread about the turn signal relay. It looks like the relay is actually the same for the hazards and the turn signals. Its all incorporated into the same same assembly for the hazard switch. I'm thinking that just replacing the switch with a new or used unit will fix the problem. Any thoughts?

That's what I did. Pop out the old, put in a new one and you'll be good
It's easy as cake
