Can anyone tell me why the A3 chip get more power than the A4's. I mean arent they the same engine?
A3=252hp, 303tQ
a4=241hp,292tq.

no they are not the same engine

the A3's engine is traversally mounted
the A4's engine is longitudinally mounted

i think the traversally mounted was better becasue of better intake issues or something like that

The a3 is FWD only right now... are those quattro #'s for the a4?

If thats the case, then the a4 is likely making MORE power at the crank. haha, which also doesnt make sense!

and although the engines are turned 90 degrees, they are still the same engine.

I think the A3 has a FMIC rather than a SMIC, and that has a little to do w/ it.
