can sum1 please tell me how to remove the sump and clean the oil screen. i might give it a go soon when i change the oil. i assume that all i have to do is undo the bolts holding the sumpn on and drop it down?? is there anything else that may get in the way?
also where is the location of the oil pump screen.
1 more, are those to lines that run into the oil filter from the turbo??
will i need a new sump gasket and what torque do the bolts need to be tightened too?
thanks heaps sorry for all the questions.

It's not fun. There's a lot to take off just to get to the oil pan. Depending on which engine you have, you may just be able to replace the pickup and the screen. AEB you can do this, ATW you have to buy the pump too. Even if I didn't have to, with all the work just to get there, I'd have replaced the pump anyway. You know Audi sent out letters to people who have hadd the sump screen sludge problem and they are covering the repair regardless of mileage. Check with your dealer, it's about a grand if you have it done. PM me and I can give you some more details.
