Ok i have been reading and it looks like all arrows point to getting an a4 1.8 turbo vs the 2.8 and what not. Baiscally cause there is more to mod and more options to do it. Thats was the easy part. what do you guys think about a 2001 silver with grey interior, 5 speed, with 87000 miles on it for 10000 dollars sound? Im going to look and drive it tomarrow hopefully rain will be the factor in it but just seeing what you guys think of the price and what i should look for when i go look and drive it? problems or areas i should be concerned with. Thanks alot. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

sounds about right...ask about the maintenence...timing belt should have been done, or should be done soon

 

Sounds ok, I dont know the book value of the top of my head, but.....

Is it quattro? 5 speed is good.

Look for: good maintenance records, tbelt change, maybe some suspension repairs. If it has all that, then its probably worth it.

If not, that gives you some ammo to talk them down even lower. Good luck!

 

sounds a little high to me. i got a 98 1.8TQM sport with 90k for 8250. and it came with a k04 intake dv and s4 rims and front bumper and was in EXCEPTIONAL condition. make sure its a quattro and that the timing belt and everything was already done. if not def. pass it up. good year tho.

 

And whatever you decide, have it checked by a VW/Audi specialist garage before buying.

 

if you cant talk him down keep looking... you will find a better deal out there for sure.

 

yes it is a quattro, ill check about the tbelt replacement. What Suspension repairs would of or would need to be done? What should i ask him about the suspension? Here is the link with pics and description, see what you think of it. Thanks for the info so far. Im really looking to get one of these cars. Sounds fun and is a little bit of luxury from my fox body mustang lol.
