I got my 2000 for $8700 w/72k miles on it a year ago in excellent condition. But its not quattro
Try to talk em down to $9k and that would be reasonable i think.

Yes it is a 5.0 87 Vert GT with cobra rear/front bumper. I just swapped out from white leather/grey console to all black with new recovered seats and door panels in black. SO interior is done. Im wanting to shelve it for the winter to rebuild the motor ,finish the lil bit of body work and paint it. Thats why i want a nicer car for winter and for the gas mileage. I dont like asian imports. If i was going import it was either VW,Audi,Mercedes or BMW. Its between a ranger, Grand prix gtp or a A4 1.8T quattro at the moment. im aiming for the A4 just cause its nicer all around. So 9 k ? sounds about right? im going to call him tonight and ask about the maint. records etc ill let you know what homeboy says. Thanks for the info so far keep it coming.

very nice. ya i say defintely get an a4. but i dunno bout his price. maybe its just your area that is higher priced but i think you can find a better price if ur patient. the car looks imaculate tho. going from a 5.0 to an 1.8T is a dramatic shift. i miss my old stangs torque but once i hit third gear in the audi i love it jus make sure you get a chip first cuz the 150hp stock is far from impressive. o and wait till you take a corner in the audi at like 40 mph. quattro is amazing

I called him today and talked to him about it. he said it did have front supspension work done to it. new tie rods and other stuff to in the front. The Tbelt he said has not been done yet. So what would that normally cost to do? or have someone do? Maybe i can talk him down on that. part of the deal. I havent had a chance to go look at it in person. He said visibly theres no thing wrong with it other than a few rock chips on the bumper/hood. But thats normal stuff now adays. Anything i should look for when i go to drive/look at it?

well the tbelt isnt that much if you DIY and it sounds like you can handle that lol so the kit is only about $400 from
ECS I believe

if you do it yourself its about 300 for a complete timing belt kit from renn-art. if you do it at a shop they charge you around 700-800. if you take it to a dealership expect over a grand

Ok, i went and looked at the car and drove it yesterday. Drove very nice, shifted good, sounded good, and rode very nice as well. Only problem i noticed was it was wrecked and than fixed. I noticed overspray on the black molding at bottom of the car from where they didnt tape it good enough. Than i opened the trunk and looked at where the 1/4 met the interior trunk and it didnt look factory compared to the other side. Looked like a filler/sealer was used than spread with a brush, vs. the other side which is clean smooth edges lol. Guy said it never was wrecked but i used to do body work for a living and know the signs. Granted the appearence from teh outside looks damn good i have to say. its not waivy or anything and the paint match looks good. I ran the carfax and it came up the original owner bought it new, wrecked in back in december of 2000, kept it till 2 months ago traded it in for something else. the report said it was reported with a rear collision, with minor/moderate damage. Im assuming someone hit it, i just dont know what all was replaced or if it was just a dent that was pulled and fix or what not. dude said he is firm on the 10k but i have not mention i know it was wrecked and that it needs a windshiled(crack and rock chip) as well as the timing belt? what you guys think i should ask if im still interested in buying it ?

I sold mine with an R title for 10,000 so even if it was wrecked if it doesnt have an R title it doesnt really take the price down
but i think if it looks good and checks out in the frame straightness area you should just go for it and not worrie about what happened
