MP3 == aftermarket.

Considering your car was made before the "big" release of sattelite radio I'd say your prolly stuck with an aftermarket CD player. There maybe some kind of adapter for your HU but I'm kinda doubting it. Do a search for audio information, I know there are a few really good sites for audi audio posted around here.

Anybody know if there's an aftermarket 6-disc changer one can get that'll play mp3 and will work with the stock HU?

My current system won't even read CD-RWs (98' Bose).

Good hunting!

You might want to check with a dealer and see if they put in CD transports that'll read MP-3 when they refurb old models. Not likely, but worth a shot.

mine is one where you can just slip the cd in..... no a 6 disc cd changer.
