I've got the same problem with my 98 a3 1.8t. Sporadic voltage etc. Engine judder (especially in low rev gear changes or cold starts). Audi just diagnosed it as a problem with my ecu but I sent it off for tests (at an independent ecu tester) and they couldn't find anything wrong with it! Also got problems with my airbag light. Did you end up sorting it out?
