Hi,

I'm from France, I've a 2010 A4 Avant (TDI 143 hp : automatic gears)
Few days ago , on my way to my holydays destination, i've been stop on the highway: white smoke, big noise then... nothing.

Audi expert told me : engine broken: has to be replaced by a new one ( cost: 15'000 EUR -> 20'000$)

My insurance expert has ask for an expertize with all the parties.

My car is not anymore under warranty but i dont consider myself as reponsible for this break. and i 'm not going to pay for the fix.

Does anybody have a similar issue?
Do you know what could be the root cause?
What can I expect from Audi?
