The actual ignition switch on the steering column? That should be the same on any B5 car.

yeah, on the steering colum!.... but like the igntion cylinder to put the key in.... because i have had my car stolen and they broke the crap out of it.... like they put something in there(maybe a screw driver of some sort) and broke the switch i would believe. So, any other people would think that the end of the igntions harness electric connector would not be different than the s4? so basicly plug and play? THANKS SO MUCH!

The ignition switch itself is exactly the same as the A4, the only difference is the S4 has more wires running out of it powering more systems like turning on the navigation for instance. So If you wanted to use an A4 ignition switch it would work fine.

WELL FIXED MY PROBLEM, just took the cylinder out and got a screw driver and started right up!!..... then i started smelling gas...... [:@][:'(] fuel line was bent/cracked open and gas was going everywhere under neath the car (thought i was gonna explod) couldnt find my screw driver to turn the damn thing off, tonight i fixed it though, just stuck a rubber hose line on(a vaccum one, looked good[:-]) tested out ok so i think im good for the utah home drive from new jersey!
