So I just got myself a 2003 A4 1.8T and I'm enjoying the vehicle a lot except there is one issue. It seems that when the light dial is in the off position "O" the parking lights are still on as well as the fog lights and i get the green parking light icon on the dash. When i turn the dial to parking lights the icon remains in the dash and the lights remain on (with fog lights too). When i turn the dial all the way to low beams the fog lights go out and the parking lights stay on with the low beams..

I'm not exactly sure what the source of the problem is, wondering if it could be a bad fuse or something? If anyone has a suggestion i'd love to hear it.

Okay after some more research it appears I don't have a problem at all lol.. Apparently the fog lights are used as DLRs (day time running lights) and come on right when the car is started. This is a requirement in Canada so I guess this is how Audi wires their cars sold here.
