Honestly, best bet is to search eBay for an A4 with a blown motor, buy that (if it's in otherwise-good shape) and swap your parts. eBay is probably the only place you'll find a car in that condition, which really is what you want.

Wouldn't it be easier to part it out and buy another car?

you will honestly be better off parting out what you have and buying a new used a4...if you got hit from the back, it was their fault, was this a hit and run thing?, and if they did have insurance, let them take it and write you a check....IMO, that would be the best way to go....

good luck!

Ebay is best for that, But I agree car is probably worth more in parts now, so part it out and buy a new used one. I don't know theres something about a smashed car never being the same that is a turn off for me. Just my .02.
