A4 BT phone & Xenon upgrades
Hello,I just picked up my newA4 yesterday, a one owner quartz gray, 2006, A4Q, 2.0T, 6MT, only 5800 miles.
I'm looking to do some upgrades.Specifically, thebluetooth cell phone integrated system and the Xenon adaptive headlights.
I have read raving reviews about the phone system, but I don't know what I need to order to add this to my car. Canthese upgradesbe added easily by a DIY home tuner? Can I just order the parts from Audi and plug them in? I'm pretty handy, I've done many upgrades on my race car, including turbo, suspension, brakes, standalone EMS, etc. so I'm not afraid to get in there and get dirty.
If anyone knows the part numbers I need, and any written instructions or any suggestions please let me know.
Thanks.

does it have the rns-e navigation unit? If it does then you can ebay the modules i think, if not then goto www.navplus.us and read there, they have tons of info and where to get the nav. ebay is a good resource for it as well, about 1400 bucks + 300 for the BT module.
If you want an aftermarket Xenon(HID kit).....go to this website....they have the best kits. I have them in my car now and in my previous 3 cars. The output is amazing.

If you do not currently have the BT system (or Navigation) I believe you'll need the control module, antenna, and microphone unit (but I could be mistaken on the last two). I would contact your local dealer to ask them what you'll need.
As for the headlights. What are you looking to upgrade? If it already has the adaptive bi-xenon headlights what is there to change? Are you just looking for a different color glow? If so, you'll only need to buy two new bulbs (D2S style). 4,300k = OEM / 5,000k = White / 6,000k = Blue-White / 8,000k = Blue / 10,000k = Purple

Thanks for all the input so far.
I do not have the RNS-e nav in my car currently. Is it mandatory to have the RNS-e to use the BT phone integration?
As for the xenons, I believe I have the standard halogen at the moment, but would like to get the Audi optional adaptive xenons.

No, you do not need the navigation to have the BT function (I don't in my A4). You just need the correct hardware. Your dealer can tell you what you need.
As for the headlights, if you have round projector looking lenses in the front you have the adaptive xenon headlights and if you just have standard reflectors where you can see the bulb you do not. To retrofit the adaptive xenon's it will cost you $$$. You may need to replace your headlight wiring harness as well. You would be better off installing an HID retrofit kit into your current housing to obtain some of the HID benefits with much less of a financial investment.
