i say go for it...and whats people's deal w/ fwd?? ...christ...its just bad when it comes to big power...i would know, im rockin the fwd.

lol, i lose traction after 4k in first gear....people go nuts....i get upset.

300 lbs ligher tho

Since you live in Cali. don't sweat not having the Quattro. Go for it if everything checks out.

i've had both front track and Quattro audis. didn't need the quattro in neither because i don't really live anywhere that it's needed. if it doesn't snow, freeze or rain a lot where you are you won't miss it.

but that price is still pretty low; i would do much investigation prior to making that purchase.

and i would still try to wait on a 1.8t-----much more fun to drive.

Quattro isnt just for snow rain and ice.. although it helps out greatly.. it helps with overall cornering around twisties when your doing more spirited driving

This dude is obviously interested in modding his car since he actually suggested building a turbo for a '96 12V [8D]. Don't get that...keep looking for god's sake. It took me 2 months to find mine. Get a 1.8T (a car that was built for a turbo), quattro and manual tranny and you'll see why we all like our cars so much .

I would be fine keeping it stock its just my ford is goign to hell and I thought that was a good price for an audi.

How good are the older audis? There is an even cheaper one I found because the guy hasnt contacted me about that A4.

If they are anything like older VW's they are freakishly expensive to maintain.
