So, I took my car to the dealership today because for the 4th time, when I put my convertible top down in my driveway it stops in the middle. And, for the 4th time, when it gets to audi, they cannot replicate the problem. I have now been told that because my driveway is at a slight incline (less than 5 degrees) that the microswitches are not able to handle the signal that they are getting. I am an electrical engineer, and can almost guarantee that it is bullshit, but just wondering if anyone else has run into the same issue?

The car is a 2005 A4 quatro with the 3.0.

 

Not many convertible owners on this forum. I doubt youll get any help on this... Sorry. But if you got a warranty and its been 4 times, ask them to keep the car for a while and give you a rental for free until they figure it out.
