A4 Driving Funny..

My a4's mileage is 22,500. Havent had motor oil in it since 15,000 miles. Car is driving bad. Gears are lagging.. also my engine rumbles a bit more when its idleing. Does this mean I need new Oil/Filter's. Should I get new oil or wait til 25,000 when im permitted to get new oil in it.

You can put new oil in it any time you want at your expense. Sounds like other problems. I assume you are under warranty, so take it in.

good god! i change my oil every 3k miles max. you havent had it in 12.5k! these engines need lots of oil and fresh oil to run well.

Oil change, which you need, doesn't sound like your problem. I don't know anything about you so I won't assume anything, but 7.5k without an oil change doesn't sound like your taking care of your car. And what does the "till when I'm permitted" mean?

and if your a 1.8T good god....those things need the oil changed every 5000k max

haha if your car is running by 25,000.....but yeah you should definetly wait maybe till 30,000 sounds better and you should use some autozone special 1.99 a qt oil i heard you get like 10hp from it
