Hello,

I'm a fresh owner of an second hand 1997 Audi A4 Avant 1.8, 20V.
This is the car I wanted to get for a long time.

But...

I have big problems with it...engine just died...
Now I have to get another engine.

The engine type that I have in my car is ADR.
I found one wrecked 2002 Audi A3 with 1.8 V5, type AGN engine and I'm not sure if it would fit in my car.


This A3 has engine mounted vertical while mine A4 has the longitudinal (thanks Hawk )

Is it possible for me to mount this A3 engine in to my A4?

Ehhhh probbbablyyy not. If you don't know then it is a project you don't want to tackle. Why not just buy a used engine that is suppose to go in there?

 

I was looking all over for this 1.8 20V ADR type of engine....but this A3 got me the closest...
