I have a 96 A4 2.7L V-6 automatic with 129K miles. Bought it with 107K miles. Have had some stubborn engine oil leaks from the lower engine. Replaced oil pan gasket and oil filter assembly gasket, but leaks continued and I'm now using a quart every 300 miles. Valve cover gaskets seem fine. Leak seems to be from lower rear part of engine. Engine does not leak much while sitting--must be leaking under load. Do rear engine seals go on these cars, like on Toyota Camrys? Anyone have any experience with these type of leaks? Any suggestions on fixes or costs?
