I am thinking about purchasing a pre-owned 2003 A4 Quattro w/ 13K miles - the car has almost 3 years factory warranty left - is there anything I need to do before purchase to ensure the warranty will still be valid - I am not certain if the previous owner had the 10K mile maintenance performed - I have never owned a car new enough to still have the factory warranty so I am unfamiliar with how such a warranty works - thank you very much for any insight and assistance.

 

I bought my A4 from a private owner and all of the warrenties AND scheduled maint. both carried over.
My local dealers exact words were.."Audi warrenties the CAR, not the driver."

 

call the dealership bc if it has they have the records and im sure they will release them. theyve done release that kind of info for me before and there wasnt even a factory warranty left.
