Hi. My girlfriend just picked up a 2001 Audi A4 2.8 Quattro and when I was looking for black housing headlights, all of them say "These fit 96-99." Some say they fit 96-01. Is there a difference in the headlights? I know that they had the corners seperate on the older models, but her's are the one piece chrome ones. She is looking for some black ones without the halos. Where would be a good place to look. Also, if they say they fit up to 1999, will they fit the 2001?

dude stay away from ebay headlights. trust me they will have water in them if you dont take them apart and seal them yourself. and they dont give off much light.

 

dont bother with them. I bought some for my 01 (bad mistake) they sent me some that only fit 2000 and under. so i returned them and they said they didnt carry any that fit the 01...which is weird because the title in their auction said they fit up to an 01. oh well, i got my money back and did the clear corner mod which looks a trillion times better then shitty halo lights.

 

dont get ebay headlights

starting in 99.5 they put in one piece headlights. on 99 and before they were 2 piece

 

valeo is the oem. stick with these if you want to upgrade. unfortunately i do not think there are the black ones for the facelift years. the black ones only really look good on silver cars in my opinion. lltek has hid units for sale if you have halogen and wish to up to zenon hid.
