I have had a 99.5 a4 1.8t quattro tip for about a year now. I am finally earning a good amount of cash and was wondering how much would it cost to basically make it look frign sweet and give it a good amount of power (about 300hp... dont need much more really). I just want something that is pretty fun (not something to beat everyone)... and something that looks droolful.

-I want to lower it
-New rims
-New paintjob
-maybe partial body kit
-ecu upgrade
-up to 300hp

Your tranny wont be able to handle 300hp .
Maybe 250. Start with an ECU flash , that should be your first mod IMO

 

300 crank hp is more realistic for that trans. Your looking at around $10-12k for that list of stuff you have there

 

!st thing chip it. 300hp is alot for that tranny. Reiger makes an awesome kit w/ S4 sides.

 

yeah i saw the rieger rs4 kit. Looks pretty good. I found a few more i might enquire later on. Im not gonna spend 10k on this though. Maybe ill stick with less hp then. Cus 10k i might as well sell this and get an s4 and ecu that heh. Yeah I will ecu this and c how it feels to me. If its a good amount of power.. maybe ill just stick with that till i do something weird like change my catback and exhaust (get another 15hp).

 

diverter valve and exhaust ... let 'er breathe.

 

how much are both of those?

edit: cus i know that an exhaust would cost about 800 (my friend can get good full exhaust). But how much is a diverter valve... and what would be the advantage in doing this?
