Default A4 Lowering

Iv Lowered my a4 40mm with 18" wheels but its still not low enough is there any way i can drop it just a little bit lower?
Somebody mentioned using compression clamps that caravan people use so the car isnt going up and down a lot when they are pulling it?

hey man. I was and am still in your same position. I put Eibach pro springs on and it didnt lower it enough! The only way you can close the gap between your fender and wheel is coilovers, or like H&R springs and Bilstein shocks.

But Never put spring clamps on your car! this is why: Your spring is designed to travel a certain distance.

*for example: you have a long spring right, now if you wanted it to be affective you'd make it soft so it can "travel" and cushion bumps, you wouldnt want it stiff.

***So if you clamped your spring it still going to want to travel as far as it was designed to. So if the spring travels 3inch's and you lower the car 2inchs you will be smaking ground allot. so many, many people have bottom'd out "like everday" and messed up their cars really bad.

Dont put spring clamps on an Audi

Unless you're quattro you could get Tein S-techs they're pretty low.

im pretty sure wen my cousin dropped his mustang and found that it wasnt low enough, he literally cut a coil or 2 off the shock and that solved the problem... not sure if that would work on ur car though lol

more details would help... if you have bilstein shocks you may be lucky enough to have the one with adjusting rings. if you just bought springs i really wouldnt reccomend going lower w/ stock shocks. but if the shocks are aftermarket designed for lower suspension buy some neuspeed springs, they are low and cheap, all over ebay.

can i ask what you guys mean with not low enough ?
any pictures maybe ?

i know back with my old car a Jetta i had 18's and lowered it 50mm with eibach springs
it was pretty low

the Audi got right now is still stock(winter and all) but after the winter its going down
probably FK coilovers
a friend of mine told me Apexi is nice also, but i got no idea about that since i am not living in the US where those things are actually used alot i think
never heard of their springs or coilovers though
