A4 Reliability?

A4 Reliability?
Hey everyone. I'm looking into buying a 2003 Audi A4 Quattro. I was wondering if anyone could tell me anything about high mileage repairs and costs that they've experienced. I'm aware of and prepped for normal maintenance, but I want to know what kind of repairs I may be looking at in the future.
The 03 A4 has 59k on it. Seems to be well maintained.

only 59k on it, jump on it especially if you have can get any kind of maintenance records. What transmission is in it?
You will run into standard timing belt maintenance soon which is usually due about 75-90k for the first one. However at this point I would say simply on age alone to do a full timing belt service which should run you $1800 at the dealership or just a little more than half that if you take it to an independent German shop. Post the listing and we can take a look for you.

i have a 2002 a4 quarto . i got it with about 82k miles a few yeats back and it know has almost 200k. they are great art and great looking, but....depending on where you live, i live in a beat town w no audi dealership and not many people wanting to work on it...everything that has to get fixed is at least double what it would be for like a mazda or honda. the best advice is like the other guy said have the stuff like timing belt done up front, don't wait till something breaks or if something starts to have an issue don't delay on fixing it or it will get to be a mess. But when its all good its an awesome car!!!
