A4 and Snow

RE: A4 and Snow
When I lived in Indiana I had Blizzaks on a Talon AWD and they were amazing. My friend had them on a Camaro and he had no trouble at all. I understand the concern with wear during Indiana winters and the small amount of snow, but don't let that deter you. Heat is their biggest enemy - just remove them sometime in early April and you should be fine. My Camaro friend did that and they lasted 5 seasons. Get the most out of your A4!

Last year, I put on a set of Blizzak LM-22 tires on my OEM 16" wheels. That winter, I always had sure footing on the roads and always felt in control. The LM-22s are a European design winter tire that's not as agressive as other tires. While it provides excellent traction in the ice and snow, the tread design kept the road noise to a minimum (not as loud as the others). I guess it's in-between a full-blown winter tire and an all-season tire.
If you're in an area that gets snow and ice, this along with Quattro is an excellent winter package to get you through the season.

If it takes Evos aross the Yukon territory I would surly hope it would get me through a PA winter.

Hey norcaltrojan,
You could always get a snow cone machine and mount it on a roof rack! That way you could have winter whenever and wherever you wanted!
pfft, wait for snow...what kind of logic is that!?
