A4 and Snow
I had blizzak in my wifes Dodge Neon and I could say that it is the best snow tires you could buy. I will even say that they were better than the Michelin Alpin.
One evening I tried to see if the tires are actually worth the money and I did a full brake (locked) in an empty parking lot with sheer ice. The car stopped without going sideways.
I say if this tire can do this on a Neon, I can't wait to see how it will do in my A4 Quattro. Too bad I spent all my money in getting the brakes done. So, I guess I will have to wait until next winter to find out.
I recommend the Blizzak if you can afford them.

Hey norcaltrojan,
You could always get a snow cone machine and mount it on a roof rack! That way you could have winter whenever and wherever you wanted!
pfft, wait for snow...what kind of logic is that!?

My old car I replaced with my A4 was a 1990 Subaru Legacy AWD ....
I almost lost it the first year and crashed in the snow and bought Blizzaks that same day B4 I went home ....
Absolutely the best thing I ever did to that car... I got another set of rims, and left them in the garage for a snowy day.
All my friends know I look forward to ICE & snow now ... no problemo !!
I had to give my grandma a ride one day in Dec .... went up a hill that was complete ICE ...
4x4's were stuck on the side of the road ... all trying to pull each other out ... I was laughing ...
I went up in 2nd gear and never broke traction .... I swear by them now... no contest.
I'll be replacing my rims someday, and Blizzaks are going on my OEM wheels for winter.
Mine were 14" at the time ... in 1996 or so ... and I think I spent $400-$450.
Good luck man !!
