hows it going board, im posting here to see if it is really worht gettin an A4 1.8 quattro. Im sorta lookin at the 97-01 the B5 ones i think they r. Any how i checked out their stock specs and its not pleasing me 150 hp and 155 lbs of tq stock. Now my question is when gettin either an APR or GIACC chip how much more pwoer am i lookin at?? i dunno much about audi so gimme sum background on the car how u guys like it and stuff. And how easy is it to tune one. my buddy has a 01 jetta 1.8t triptronic. i wasnt impressed by it at all, but thani again heard the 5spd r qwiker. i would get this car if the chip and some other small mods can get me at least 210 hp on this car, other wise i can get sumttin better for the price tho i do want a turbo

 

They increased th HP on 01 model. I believe its 170 Stock.

A chip will give you about +40..so that will bring you to 210 HP.

its like 40 hp 50 tq usually when u get the 01 the chip hp drops anyways and u really only see about 5-10 more bc ive heard its a security issue they started doin in the 01 is why they arent fond of them

 

the a4's aren't just about the power though. they are some the nicest cars overall that i've ever had the pleasure of driving. if you haven't yet driven one, i would highly suggest it. check one out at a dealership, i guarantee you'll fall in love.

B5 (inc 2000) runs 150hp. With a chip it is 200-205 hp.

A LOT of useful torgue at low end that pulls all through the power band. Either APR or GIAC has a dyno on their site.
