I made an appointment to get tinted on Friday. I dont want it to be totaly blacked out, just noticeably/mildly tinted. Would 70% be what Im looking for?

 

70% = TONS OF LIGHT.. I think your thinking 30%

the % is how much light is let through.

30-35% is a good tint. not too dark, but dark enough. Jest has it on his b7 looks nice on a black car.

Im going to tint come summer (hotter is better for tinting) and im goint 30-35%.. i have a black b5 w/ black interior

 

yea most people go 30-35%. check your laws first, if thats something ur concerned about.

here in NJ you cant have any in the front, but whatever you want in the back i believe.

 

70%=cant tell a tint is there at all
50%= barely can tell a tint is there
35%=dark enough but not too dark

35% may be what youre looking for

 

i think im going with 20% all around even though in MA the legal limit is 35%. ill just take my chances

 

yeah I got pulled over today for not having plates (still have my temp plates cuz my real ones havent come yet) but the officer couldnt see through my tint (15% where here in WA its 35% legal limit) and he didnt say anything about it. Said he was "too busy" to write up a ticket, but I wont complain.
