hey dude. I had my windows tinted this past summer. I got 35 and 20 on the rears. What color is your interior. If your interior is black, then it will make the tint look a bit darker. I think 35 all around is probably what you're lookin for.

 

I have 35 all around, and it's best for my needs. I had 20% on my 'vette, and it was dark as jeebus.

 

If yours is 35%, I may want 50% or 40% if thats possible. I like yours though, but my wife had complained about my old integra it was tinted I think at 35%. Is there such thing as 40%?

 

50% really isnt a tint at all.

Go to your tint shop on Friday and ask them to show you the different tints so you can make a decision since you seem to be kinda confused on what % is what. They should be happy to show you.

 

you can also do 20% rear sides and 35% backwindow just so backing out is not a PITA. it'll have the same effects esp. if ur interior is black. As far as fronts: 35 would do. Oh and this a trick my friends do esp. during nighttime-if there's cops they turn on their inteior lights so i doesnt seem as dark w the tints, but dont turn them all on otherwise you'll just get attention.

 

^....that makes absolutely no sence......what-so-ever. but next sumer im going to hit up 15% all around, 10 in back. and the legal limit here in WI is 35% all around

thats crazy!! how you going to put 10% in the back windshield?? you wont be able to see nothing! thats where im going to put 35%

 

I'm in NY and I have 20% on all my windows expect for the front windshield. I never got pulled over for them and when I get pulled over for other reasons the cops only comment on them half the time. I never got written up for tints though. I think there are too many people in my area that have them even darker for them to really care. But i gotta say its tough to see out of them at night sometimes. No matter how illegal it is i think its a must to have on your car. Tints will make any car exterior look 10x better. The worst that'll happen is an assh0le state trooper will make you pull them off or you'll get a small fine.
