I am considering purchasing an A4 1.8T (I currently own a 2.7T)...Gas is KILLING me on the A6 and I was curious to know if the 1.8T is MUCH better? How much roughly are you getting?

I have an 01, and I am looking to get an 02 A4. What should I expect.

 

your gas mileage will certainly be better on the 1.8 then the 2.7! I have an '01 1.8(same engine and power as an '02)and I average around 400 miles a tank(most all highway). I get about 330 miles a tank with all city driving......remember though the A4 is not nearly as roomy as the A6

 

22-23mpg mix usually

 

yeah, with a mix of city and highway i get around 22-25 mpg. all highway, around 32mpg

 

You should get close to 400 miles per tank

 

I am currently averaging 28 mpg in mixed use with a tip. That is driving lightly andnot above 65 mph on the highway.

 

i do 80 on the highwya with bursts 100+ on 3/4 i got 300+miles

 

i drive 1/2 highway and 1/2 city..and still get 400 miles per tank..and avg speed on highway is like 70-80mph...just filled up yesterday when the warning light came on..cost me $60 bucks for 93 octane.. but next month i wonder how its gonna be when i have REVO 1+...380cc injectors
