about hp's...
say for example, I have a 1.8tqm and another guy has a car that is not a audi a4. But the car has the similar specs. lets say it is a fwd.. Would my 300hp's be the same as his 300hp. I guess the only way you can tell is on a dyno, am I right? Sorry about the confusion.
300 AWHP and 300 WHP are the same. It will defenitly feel different in a different car and drivetrain.
300 WHP/AWHP in cars of the same weight wheel size, on the same track at the same temperature, should perform similar except the AWD car should be able to pull on it with street tires for the simple fact that it will have less wheelspin and a better launch.
If you both have slicks, then it's driver skill and you'd have to take it to the track.

Confusion on horsepower is not surprising - most people don't get it, and the automotive marketing machine is a key reason. The truth is that torque is more important than horsepower for most people most of the time. Vastly oversimplifying, torque determines acceleration and horsepower determines top end. Comparing two cars based on horsepower provides a close approximation at best, however can be very misleading.
