i got the rings off of www.Xenonmods.com
and i picked up the paint kit from advanced auto parts for like $15 dupli-color
Love the DIY stuff! Always makes me feel good to know I did it myself! That's why I try not to let people work on my car! Not really feeling the red paint on stock calipers to me it makes it look cheep. Call me crazy but it just my .02! To each their own. I always go black and will be doing it this weekend. Paint looks good though!
It looks like you did a really nice job, but I wonder how long the rings will last.
I want to paint mine silver, but I never seem to be able to find the Duplicolor kit in stores...sure, I could order it off it off the internet, but I won't. Red, blue, black...hell, I've even seen yellow. But no silver.

You don't need Duplicolor - high-heat engine enamel works just as well for a fraction of the price (did my Audi calipers with black 500 degree paint, and did red on my 300ZX calipers). Clean 'em up like normal, use a few coats of engine enamel, and a high-heat clearcoat, and it looks great.

Did you paint first, then apply the decals, then clearcoat over them? Try it that way next time (if you didn't this time) - the clearcoat should afford some protection for them.
it didnt come with clear....but i just really need them for a show that i have tomorrow...
I'm gonna wait for the decals to peel off or the paint to fade then re-do it with clear (the kit came with so much paint...i could do about 50 calipers w/ the amount they gave)

Hit them with high-temp clearcoat from AutoZone (the engine enamel stuff - they make a high-temp clear). It'll take you just a few minutes and will seal in those rings and probably protect them, if not fully, then much better than they would be now (plus when you clean them, you won't run nearly the same risk of ripping or damaging them).
