01203 - Electrical Connection between ABS and Instrument Cluster
03-10 - No Signal - Intermittent

Sounds like a problem with the abs module. Disconnect the ABS main power plug and reseat the connector. You may also want to spray it out with some contact cleaner.

Thanks for your prompt reply jestnomen, re-seating and cleaning the main ABS plug
was no good. I am curious why there is such a high number of these ABS failures??
Had a look at other forums and the ABS issue is quite popular. In my case I wounder
if this is all caused by power surches and hence damages the ABS electronics??Not sure
about the next step

Why so, does the brake fluid have anything to do with code 01203?

doubtful....

The ABS module failure is very common. Audi fails to recognize it as a major thing and perform a recall. Too bad, they are expensive.

Yep! I have the same problem, a bad ABS Module and you need at list $800 to replace it. Everybody tell me that the brakes will function good but the ABS system not.
