Default AC Problems

Ok I'm the proud owner of my very first Audi I've had it for 2 days now. I have to say I love it even for a 2002 its a sweet! ride. However, My AC is not working. The previous owner said it worked and it was working the day he took it to the shop. He told me he had the brakes done and change the oil.

I checked and the pressure is good on the freon. I checked all the fuses, and compressor looks fairly new. Any ideas? could it be a climate control sensor? I read in owners manual if it's really cold outside the AC won't work no matter what. Anyway any help would be great.

No one has any patience anymore. Some people do not visit this forum daily so it can take several days to get a resonse. Also, people tend not to post if they have nothing to offer. From reading your posts it seems you have covered the most likely issues.

You didn't say if you have confirmed the compressor actually kicks on and off, or if the heat works fine, what about the internal fan can you adjust its speed, do you have automatic controls of manual controls? Has the outside temp been low enough to run the AC? I would start with confirming the compressor actually kick on and off.

Thanks for the reply rhodes991. I took it and had it looked at. I had power all the way down to my compressor but it would not kick on. I picked up a hole kit @ DiscountACParts.com for $435. Always call in to order you get a way better deal. Anyway I got the A/C Compressor - OEM New with Clutch, A/C Accumulator/Drier, A/C Expansion Device and O rings with a 1 year warranty.

Audi A4 AC Kit | Part Number: 60-81214-RK | Discount AC Parts

I've looked around I think I did good on price and its going to be nice to do the hole thing I think.
