Hi

I have an A4 Avant 2005 Reg

The central locking when you press the key fob opens all the doors except the passenger door. The only way to open that door is from the inside

Before I strip down the door and look at it does anybody know of any common faults that cause this

On mine (and I believe in the manual) it states pressing the unlock button on the master remote control unit will unlock the driver's door only, but will deactivate the alarm.

To unlock all other doors except the trunk, you must press the unlock button again within a certain amount of time (I think it's 10 seconds, but I'm not 100% on that - might be 3 or 6 seconds).

 

Thanks , my other A4 does the same a single press for just thge drivers door and a long press for the rest

This isnt the issue here its a fault when you do a long press only 4 out of the 5 doors unlock ,

It must be an electrical or pump problem with this door just want some advice if somebody else has had the same fault
