Correction, the Avant I am going to see is an '00

The A4 in the first post seems to have some service history

The price seems pretty reasonable.
The question is, do you mind driving an avant and a 2.8?
Anyway, the link you posted shows the engine is the 1.8T engine.
Is that the car you're planning to buy or a different one?
I can't really tell since the pictures are so small, but in general, the car looks pretty nice.
No leather seats though right?

I don't know if it has leather.

I don't mind an Avant 2.8L. I'm not looking for performance. Just a solid highway cruiser... which is what made the A6 I had so awesome.

The only mods that I have in store are all suspension related.

Yeah, umm, the one for $4900 hit something.. that's what the guy told me *sigh*

I'll be going and looking at an avant later today. I'll probably buy it if everything checks out.

Okay, "seat comfort" is a recurrent complaint... is it really that bad?

It was probably the seat heaters, mine had the same thing but when I asked the sevice dept. what the deal was they told me the guy complained of the seat heaters burning his ***..... too hot? Who complains about seat heaters working too well?
