Default ADVICE ON SUSPENSION

im having my A4 TDI (B6) lowered today using koni springs, standard shocks 40mm,ive heard when putting the front suspension back together, hand tighten, then get the full weight of the car on the suspension, then re-tighten......this (if true) states if done like this will stop knocks/squeals from the front suspension. Stated in:A4 MODS.

How true is this? any of you guys done the lowering of your B6 ? ANY TIPS?
Any issues with camber at 40mm ?

Default RE: ADVICE ON SUSPENSION

I just installed all new front control arm, tierod ends, sway bar links, and all-around STaSIS coilovers.

I did the job on jack stands in my garage, so I couldn't have the wheel on with the car on the ground whileI tightened up the lower link of the shock to the front lower control arm. Instead, I used a jack to lift the steering knuckle/hub assembly till the car was just about lifting off the jackstand before I tighteneddown that bolt and the control arm bolts.
For the rears, you will need totorque down the bolts thatgo through any bushings, etc, while the shock/hubcontrol arm assembly is in the "loaded" position.I'm not 100% sure on your rear setup since you have a B6,andIhave a B5 - I'mpretty sure they are different.
