If you read farther down the thread you see he admits (if thats the word) that its ported. also check his website, he lists it somewhere, that his AEB head is ported.

He did switch since his engine is an ATW IIRC, and he switched to DBC and threw on an AEB head thats ported.

the only real differences are the head and rods.....aeb has thicker rods.
And for whomever said all the power is in the bottom end......dream on. All of your power comes from your head. The bottom end just supports it.

 

if your just going to do a BT upgrade like a gt28rs then no. But if your gonna get serious with the engine and look into the gt30 series or gt35, standalone and a built engine then yes it would be a good investment. But just to get an AEB engine and do a k04 turbo upgrade your wasting your time.
