I hope this info request is seen by viewers as a genuine need for help[/align][/align]I live in New Zealand.[/align]My car is 1981 VW Golf (Rabbit in USA)[/align]Engine 99 Audi AEB 20vt[/align]Chip Giac 1.1bar with factory ECU 8d0xxx 557p[/align]Gearbox Quaife 02A 6 speed with ATB[/align]Suspension Koni coilovers[/align][/align]Current performance[/align][/align]172 whp[/align][/align]Want to do turbo upgrade[/align][/align]Target- 250-270 whp[/align][/align]Do i fit kkk04 turbo or something else?[/align][/align]If kkk04 , which version?[/align][/align]I will really appreciate any opinion.[/align][/align]Use of car is track day mainly, but do use on street.[/align]Fuel 100 octane AV GAS[/align]Tyres Toyo R888.[/align]Will email pix to anyone interested.[/align][/align]Cheers Noel[/align]

you'll be hard pressed to see 250-270 whp with a K04, even with front wheel drive. something bigger would be better suited to your application, perhaps a T3/T4?

I wouldn't mind seeing some pics of this rabbit, pm me some if you get a minute!

Thanks for the reply,[/align][/align]If kkk04 would not achieve target,is there a kit that is proven that will deliver target.[/align]Car weight is 923kg[/align]Target minimum is 5kg/kW[/align][/align]You may be more familiar with imperial weight[/align]car weight is approx 2100lbs[/align]Target is 247 whp[/align]

thanks for reply[/align][/align]$4500 US is serious money for us NZ residents, dont want to do it twice,[/align]If thats what it costs then thats fine , but i really want to be convinced that it will work.[/align]I could also install Motec system any tune any turbo to suit for same money.[/align]i would like to keep VAG com if possible[/align][/align]Noel[/align]

Hope you havent got me wrong. I live in NZ. Yea it is a bit of money but it will work for sure. Apr have been around for a while and have a big name in the VW and Audi tuners world. EMS is a good computer for the 20valve turbos. Il have to dig outthe guys number who does it here. Yeap with that kind of money youcould goBT and get a whole lot of HP. I know guys who are making easy300whpwith a GT28r turbo so im guessing a gt25 or t25 is a good turbo for what you want. Go BT is my suggestion.

BT is always a good way to go, if its a track car then you kind of have to go BT,
