and as for cops......... well.... we don't have to worry about cops if we just cruise through the hwy instead of rd raging through it like always.

as for bikers........ well.......... we should designate the leader of the caravan to run them off the rd for the rest of us to run through. hee heee.
Just cruise!?!? Thats what I tried doing when we left Kohls this sunday. I even opted to be in the tail of the pack. But NNOOO! The blood boils and the need for speed kicks in then bam! its 100mph + all over again. Trust me, no matter where we go... it will always be rd raging.

Evo,

congrats on the chip. use it well and remember, stage II is just around the corner

how about you and I set the pace for the pack, if Chef wants to go rd raging, he'll be the one driving ahead by himeself. iBudda seems more of a cruiser also so we're not alone, i know evo really wants to go rd raging now that he has the chip,

or

you chose the canyon run and NOT tell anyone, that way, YOU can set the pace and not rd rage and all we can do is just follow.

u chipped guys.. just for torture we should make all chipped cars at the tail end of the
caravan next time.

Look - heres the skinny on Ortega - Its not too far from Irvine,
its off the 5 fwy south a few miles down...Itll drop us off in Lake Elsinore (just around a few miles from my spot) its about 15 miles south of Corona (off the 15)

at that time of day theres much more traffic which i honestly wont mind - considering the caravan / group drive is half the fun for me... seeing all the Audis driving in a mob
is defenitely an adreneline run in itself.

if you guys wanna try it - I'm game... we just need to use a lil discretion is all..
its a longer run, and alot more dangerous = more satisfaction...
up to you guys..

EVO - grats on the Chip ! seems like only yesterday we were laughing at you bec. you were trying to abstain from going over 4K RPMs LOLOLOLOL

I vote for Road Raging.

.....But that's just me.

Ragarding the self-imposed "keep it under 4,000RPM" rule that I applied last month when I first got the car - that's out.

Now she climbs to 7,000RPMS - I pat her on the gas pedal - she burps - and then asks for more.

I'm curious to see how much the extra weight affects me against the chipped A3's. I'm sure one of the fellas' will be more than happy to indulge me with an answer when we go.

Evo, how's the gear shift on your car on tip mode, is there about at least 1 sec. delay when it shifts between gears?

i really like the ortega hwy, i'd like to cruise this time and enjoy the drive instead of trying to outrun each other.....or run into each other.

In my opinion, it's the best way to drive now that the car is chipped.
Before, I kept it in Sport since I wasn't fond of the shifts and when I downshifted, it wouldn't really slow the car down.
Whenever I was on the freeway, I'd usually keep it in Drive once I got to the speed I wanted, for MPG reasons.

NOW, I can't stop switching it over to manual. The lag between shifts is basically unnoticeable to me. (or, at least, 20 times better than before) and the turbo lag when in Sport mode is pretty much non-existant. Seriously.

Hmm..on tip mode in mine, with the gas pedal to the floor, when upshifting it takes about a second before it goes in to the next gear..oh..I got chipped yesterday too [sm=icon_rock.gif][sm=icon_rock.gif][sm=icon_rock.gif][sm=yeahsmile.gif]
