aftermarket deck with bose
ok this has probably been posted before .... but here it is again
what is required to install a aftermarket deck with the bose system?
i have heard of a "bose interceptor" that goes in between the deck and bose amp.
what all is required to do this? do you have to rewire all the speakers and get a new amp? will the sound quality be the same?
thanks in advance

Getting a new amp will make your car sound 20 times better.
I am currently running stock bose speakers from an S4, with a JL 450/4 pushing them... and it's very, very impressive.
My focals are going in next week though! :P

The only problem with the bose is that they arent given enough power. The stock amp prolly gets them like 25 watts each RMS... which is nothing. They are like a 2ohm speaker, so 25 watts goes a little further than usual... but still. I gave my bose 150 watts RMS and they seriously kick ***. The tweeters are a little soft, but it sounds very 'nice' -- not harsh like some metal coned tweeters can. Anyways, don't knock them till you've heard them with a real amp.And sandsnow... I am very, very stoked about getting the focals put in! It's the K2 power poly-kevlars... they should pwn.
