Default Aftermarket HID 2006 Audi A4

Hello. Anyone knows the coding in order to enable xenon headlights on a 2006 Audi A4? I have tried with Vag-com but it only offers the bi-xenon optinon. Can anyone tell me how to enable xenon's on this car?

Thanks,
Alex

what do you mean how to enable xenons?? If you have xenons they are always on, if you didnt get xenons from the factory i think your outta luck cuz i dont think they make an aftermarket xenon kit yet for the b7's... only choice would be the audi dealership and they will charge 2 grand lol

That is the point. Tha car came without Xenon's. In Mexico it is not illegal to install aftermarket HID's on these cars. Vag-Com people have told me there is a way to enable these new light with their software but they cannot give the procedure. Anyone knows how?

wtf??? if you dont have xenons there is no way a vag-com can enable it. you have to buy xenons with the ballasts and wiring kit. you cant just magically turn halogen lamps into xenon lamps with a vag com

Thank's for your kind advice. I have already installed xenon ballasts and bulbs. In Vag-com control module, 09 Central Electronics, there are some several options in order to choose halogen or bi-xenons,but the option to choose xenon's does not appear. Now am I clear?

ok sorry your gonna have to work with me, i dont have a vag com. So you already have xenon ballasts and bulbs... so you should just turn your lights on and have xenons. What exactly is your problem. If you have xenons than you have xenons, if you dont have them than you simply dont have them. Your saying you already have them installed. So what exactly is a vag com gonna do, your xenons should be enabled at all times. You cant switch back and forth between halogen and xenon. Theres no way to "enable" xenons, you have them or you dont.

So whats your problem? Are your xenon lights not working? Do you only have high beams? If your low beams work, and you claim you have ballasts and xenon bulbs installed, than your xenons are "enabled" lol.. am i clear?

I think were both a little confused.?

Ok. The problem is that when installing the xenons the voltage received is not right and they blink. This is fixed by selecting the bi-xenon option (code), but by doing this the high beams are disabled. There must be a code to enable xenons while the high beams work too. Do you understand me now?

did you buy an aftermarket H7 HID conversion kit? This kit is plug and play. No one on here is a real Vag-com genius so good luck.
For this to work - I would think that you would need to buy original audi ballast, DS2 bulbs, a full wiring harness and headlights. other than replacing all of those I can't see how changing coding in the ECU will change voltage.
Another thing - Your in Mexico so things might be different than cars in the US due to all of our restrictions Is there an option to only have HID's on the lows and normal halogens on HI's? maybe B7's only have halogens or Bi-xeon.
