The Audi dealer gave me free tint, long story why, it doesn't matter. But I don't like it. They did a good job, but the dark tint looks to ghangsta' on my '07. Plus, the auto-dimming mirrors are already so dark that with the tint it's nearly impossible to see detail in my mirrors.

It's been about 36 hours. Should I do it now while not completely cured? Should I take it to a shop? How much would a shop charge?

 

Give it a couple of weeks to get used to. You might end up liking it.

It can't possibly be that dark. Texas laws state that it can't be darker than 25%. Plus there is a lot of sun out in Houston, I'd keep it. Not only will it make your car look better but it will keep your interior much cooler and won't own your apholstery (spelling?)

tint is amazing.... the darker the better... it keeps a ton of heat out of your interior and it doesnt look "gangster" it looks nice, it allows the body lines of the car to be seen better and over all it makes the car look a lot more luxurious....

if you dont want tint than just rip it off... if you know how to take a sticker off than im sure you can peel off tint, good luck with your dash in two years when it starts cracking from all the heat its getting because you thought your tint looked too "gangster"... that seriously kinda offends me.

 

I know what ya mean.........I've seen many a nice car that looked sweet (caddys, Saabs, Mercedes, and of course Audis) but then they went with the darkest tint and made it look like they must be toting an AK with them if they got there tint that dark. Not to mention driving at night. My fiance had a GANGSTER camry it was black with the darkest black tint and at night he'd have to roll down his windows to see if he was backing out of some where. NOW HOW GHETTO IS THAT??

Anywho my advice is to rip that **** off and go get ya some smoke tint or at least some lighter regular tint. I have the Dolphin Gray color so when I get my tint done it's gonna be smoke tint. Hope this helps make your decision.

 

Wow wow wow, back the hell off the dude. He said it looks to "gangster" for his taste, thats a personally opinion you douche face, calm down with bashing him for his personal preference. You don't know this guys age/status or anything. I know a lot of 30 years + who think dark tint is untasteful, and even though I'm a huge fan of going dark I can still see where there coming from. Its a PERSONAL opinion, key word...personal.

Uhhhh... Please try to relax man. Thats a little harsh. A mild tint is sometimes more desireable, and the people that desire it usually think the darker the tint is-the more gangsta like. People have shown you some respect even though you have halo headlights, maybe you can show some respect to people with different oppinions on things too?

 

Its all personal preference, if you don't like it, take it off. Besides it was free so no harm done. AteUrV8 calm down, no need to attack the guy. Lets not go there with your angel eyes lol
