Default Air Bag light

I get a nice little surprise from my car this morning... i started her up like i always do cept today the airbag lights stays on...

So i restart the car, but that isnt it... is there any way that i can check what the problem is or should i just take it to the dealer?

have you been hoovering the car out and yanked a wire off under the seat, has the battery been disconnected or run flat, diagnostic equipment is needed to find the problem and turn the light off

i have the same problem. where would the wires be that i "yanked" i heard under the passenger seat?

Let alone "yanked" ... I had to ask myself wtf "hoovering" was... but yeah, I figured it out. I'm quick.

And yeah... just get it vagged... see what the deal is. It is usually the connectors.

Ok, to answer your question, this is one of the most common problems on the A4. Mine kept doing that as well. I read on AW awhile back that some dude took his car in and the dealership charged him $200 to zip tie the airbag connector. So here's what to do: pull your seat up as far as it goes, take a medium size zip tie, put it around the connector under the front of the seat, have someone with a vag-com turn your airbag light off. You should be good for about 3 months after that. Then repeat.
