air filter
The K&N is fine as long as you do the oiling right, and dry it off enough. Too mahy people get impatient and drop it back in when it isn't dried off, and ther eis too much oil on the filter. Do itproperly and it should be fine. Might not be worth the risk though. Not sure I'm a fan of paper filters. What else does the audi bunch reccomend? I'm not a fan of foam filters either, as they tend to become brittle, and hace bits come off!
wait so will like pepboys or like autozone have this paper filter you guys were talking about? because i cant really buy anything online right now..still gotta get the whole timing belt kit.. [:@]
also at what mileage should i replace my airfilter and fuel filter?

Well, to be honest, the K&N has been in my car for almost all of it's life... and has been re-oiled by myself, once. Although I don't have any CEL's... my car does idle somewhat rough, at times. I don't think my MAF is fried... but, I am hardly modded, so I don't think it's worth the risk, for a minor gain in hp.

so the k&n causes problems, ive never heard of that but sounds realistic, do any of the other aftermarket filters do that?
