its not the same engine really u have the VR6 2.8 engines while the audi with ur year has a 30 valve 3.0 engine

Pics? It looks exactly like an A4 2.8 when you open the hood. Except for the logo on the engine!

ur rite it is the same engine but its lifted from the older B5 2.8

The car is a 2004, I'm sure it's identical to a 2004 A4. Your not saying that the factory (which makes both the Passat and the A4) is using 2 different 2.8 engines are you?? Anyway, I just want to know how to open the filter box.
